Junior Yuxiao Tan, General Secretary of the Model United Nations, was awarded Commendation by the Chair in the Johns Hopkins Model United Nations Conference on Feb. 13 in Baltimore, Md.

55 schools served on 25 specialized committees as part of the yearly national conference.

The Model UN Club sent 22 delegates, who represented various countries including Gabon, Samoa, Bahamas, Yemen, Denmark and Sierre Leone and participated in the three-day conference with social studies teacher and sponsor Grace Leatherman.
